WHO WE HELP

CONNECT Allen County is a “one-stop shop” community access center helping youth, families and individuals get information on the resources and supports that are available—and how to access them. We want to speed up the process of you or your family getting the mental and emotional health, physical health and basic support that you need. When you make contact with CONNECT Allen County, either in-person or on the phone, you will be met by a staff whose first priority is helping you navigate systems. Our goals are to:

  • Raise awareness of, and provide access to, resources in Allen County

  • Identify family and individual resource needs, and work together to develop solutions

  • Decrease wait times for families and organizations to access services

We will provide the convenience of multiple providers in one location, more clarity on the service options available, and a comprehensive approach to addressing your needs. We hope to empower you to make the right service choices for you or your family by walking with you through the processes.

CONNECT Allen County was created by Our Children Our Future, the Allen County System of Care.

COUNSELING

With the convenience of several provider options at CONNECT Allen County, we will help you find the right organization to provide mental health counseling for you or your family. We will help you narrow down the options based on your family needs, and can even help to get your initial appointment set.

FAMILY SUPPORT

It really does take a village! Whether you need to find family education, counseling, help with your child’s special needs, or support groups, you’re in the right place. We can help CONNECT you to the financial, educational, emotional, and physical supports that you or your family need to succeed.

FOOD

Whether you need an emergency supply of non-perishable food to get your family through a couple of days, or to be connected to a larger supply of food, CONNECT Allen County can help. We have 1-2 day emergency food bags onsite, as well as offsite partnerships with many people in our community that can help on a larger scale.

HEALTHCARE

While we do not provide medical care in our suite, we have partners that do! We can refer and direct you to the in-building partners as well as others who are nearest to you. Don’t have insurance? Our partners can guide you through that process as well.

HOUSING

If you are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless, we can CONNECT you to the organizations in our community that can help! Along with shelter information, our partners can help set you up with the support to help you move forward.
